At Verio Europe we believe that our stewardship of the environment is vital to our future happiness and well being. That is why we have been working with The CarbonNeutral Company to carry out an audit of Verio Europe’s Data Centres in order to determine the average carbon footprint per machine.

Using this measure, Verio Europe calculates the footprint for each solution and then buys carbon credits, which effectively absorb the equivalent carbon and other greenhouse gasses emitted. This means that Verio Europe can provide a Carbon Neutral Hosting Solution for all of our customers.
 
But this is only a small part of our environmental programme. Verio Europe is employing the principle of Verified Emission Reduction (VERs) which enables third party projects to minimize their CO2 emissions by re-engineering or rethinking their work processes which are often an entrenched part of a traditional infrastructure.
